Come to the Healing Prayer Service

Join us at 5:00pm on the Second Saturday of every month for our Healing Prayer Service at Mariners Bethel Church. It is a time of worship, prayer, and communion. It is a wonderful experience to have people listen to you with the attentiveness of the Father, share the love of Jesus with you, and pray for you in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8

Healing is at the Heart of God

Healing is at the very heart of God. "I am the lord, who heals you" (Ex. 15:26). The healing theme runs throughout the overarching narrative of the Bible: Creation to Fall to redemption to consummation. Every stage involves healing, restoration, reconciliation, and transformation of God's people in spirit, soul (mind, will, emotion), and body through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Sharon Lewis)

I believe in the power of Jesus Christ to heal the sick and afflicted and to break any bondage when His Name is invoked in any circumstance. I believe His power is as consistently available today as during His own earthly ministry and that, through His Cross, He has provided the grounds for us to expect and receive healing and deliverance as surely as we may receive forgiveness and sanctification. (Jack Hayford) (Go to the Good News post about Jack Hayford's article, Healing is for Today, to read his entire article—it is excellent.)

Divine healing is ministered by the power of the Holy Spirit through divinely ordained promises, provision and providence. God’s healing grace and goodness span the realm of the medical field as well as the miraculous. Because God’s Word brings forth resources of health, healing and deliverance, our first point of appeal when sickness strikes should be to come to Him. Divine healing is never a last resort for a final crisis—but a first resort to request and receive the Father’s touch and wholeness in Jesus’ Name. (Jack Hayford)

There are different kinds of healing. The one most Christians have heard about is physical healing. A second kind that many Christians are not aware of is spiritual healing. A third kind is inner healing, and a fourth kind of healing is deliverance from demonic oppression. (Francis MacNutt)
